The Grammy chosen on February 10 for his birthday number 50
Academy of Arts and Sciences Recording announced today that the 50 edition of his Grammy Awards will take place on February 10, 2008. Neil Portnow, president of the organization, said that given the significance of this fiftieth year, the date will be the culmination of a year of celebration.
In this happy issue, the Grammys will return to Staples Arena in Los Angeles, where they will be broadcast by U.S. television network CBS. The announcement of nominations for the awards is scheduled for Dec. 6 in Los Angeles.
Referring to the museum, the Academy made official the creation of the Grammy Museum, a center of 2,790 meters square these awards dedicated to music and located in the new housing development with the name of Lalive is built in downtown Los Angeles, compared to Staples, Home of the Lakers.
